TransGlobe Property Management Services Frequently Asked Questions - Maintenance Requirements
As your landlord, TransGlobe is responsible for any maintenance requirements to your apartment such as providing batteries for the smoke alarms, to repairing appliances to resolving plumbing issues. We strive to provide exceptional customer service and hope the following FAQs help you to determine when a request needs to be escalated.
Questions: How do I submit a maintenance request?
Answer: Maintenance requests should be submitted in writing as we do require written permission to access your suite, in order to complete the required work. Your Building Representative can provide the proper form for you to do this.
Question: How long should it take before my maintenance request is completed?
Answer: We strive to complete all simple maintenance requests within 48 hours of receiving the written request. On occasion the required repair may be caused by an underlying issue that may need to be further investigated or for which an outside contractor may be required. It is our policy that should this be the case, you will be kept informed of the status of your repair through communication by your Building Representative until such time as were are able to fully complete the repair.
Question: What do I do if I encounter problems with the onsite laundry equipment?
Answer: Most of our onsite laundry equipment is provided by a third party company. It is their responsibility to maintain and repair the equipment. The name and contact information of the third party company should be clearly posted in your laundry room should you have any problems with the equipment. It is our expectation that our contractors provide the same level of service to our tenants that we expect from our staff. Should you experience any problems in dealing with our contractors, please report this information to your Property Manager.
Question: I have lived in my apartment for a long time. Am I entitled to any new renovations?
Answer: Your Property Manager will be happy to visit your suite and discuss any reasonable requests for updates or renovations.
Question: Am I allowed to keep a pet in my rental apartment.
Answer: Provincial legislation differs on this topic. Where allowed by law, TransGlobe does allow small pets as long as they are not a nuisance to other tenants at your rental property. The pet must be restrained in hallways and elevators and must be leashed while on outdoor TransGlobe Property.
